A no good dad who ran off with an older man at the promises of wealth and fame. Leaving his son to grow into a sociopath, killing small mammals for fun and speaking to inanimate objects in the desert. Eventually leading to a somewhat incestuous fumble with his long lost sister and eventually the patricide. Spoiler alert, I guess.
